This kit uses the PIC18F4320 microcontroller
with 8k bytes of FLASH memory. This processor was chosen because
of it's medium-sized I/O capability, which is a good match for most
small projects.
There is a small prototyping area with a 2x40
pin header with clearly marked signal names. All MCU port pins are
brought out to this connector.
EUSART (Enhanced USART) which makes it LIN-bus
compatible. You don't have
to use this
feature. In fact it is set up by default for standard RS-232. Application Examples:
Small motor control system
- Serial port connected to PC.
- 500mA current drive capability for several
small dc motors.
- Recommended "Intermediate" and
above software skills
"Data acquisition and transmit"
- Use 10-bit A/D converter
- Transmit to PC or host via RS-232
- Recommended
"Advanced" and above software skills
Remote PC interface
- DB-9S Connector included in "1320-CK"
- LCD in "LCD-MTC0802"
- Use "Serial Modem cable" (available
from a computer store) or equivalent.
- Recommended "Intermediate" and
above software skills.
- Windows software not currently supported
by PIC-KITS
